COOKIE POLICY
EFFECTIVE DATE: 22 APRIL 2026 · LAST REVIEWED: 22 APRIL 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones ReCVme uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It applies to all users of recvme.com regardless of location.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device — computer, phone, or tablet — when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, remember your preferences, and provide information to the site's owner about how visitors use the service.
Cookies are not viruses or malware. They cannot access other files on your device or execute code. A cookie can only be read by the website that created it.
Similar technologies — such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags — work in comparable ways. Where we refer to 'cookies' in this policy, we mean cookies and these similar technologies unless stated otherwise.
2. Cookie Categories We Use
ReCVme uses two categories of cookies: essential cookies and analytics cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing cookies, social media tracking cookies, or session-recording tools.
2.1 Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function. Without them, core features — such as logging in, maintaining your session, and keeping your account secure — would not work. These cookies do not require your consent under any applicable law because they are technically necessary to deliver the service you have requested.
Essential cookies used by ReCVme:
2.2 Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use ReCVme — which pages are visited most, how long people stay, where they come from, and where they drop off. This helps us improve the product. These cookies are set by Google LLC and data is processed on Google's servers.
Analytics cookies are only set after you have given your consent via our cookie banner. If you decline, these cookies will not be placed.
Analytics cookies used by ReCVme:
Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC. For more information about how Google uses data collected via Analytics, visit: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
3. What We Do Not Use
To be clear about what ReCVme does not do:
- We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies (such as Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, or any other ad network)
- We do not use session recording or heatmap tools (such as Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or FullStory)
- We do not use social media tracking cookies (such as LinkedIn Insight Tag or Twitter/X Pixel)
- We do not sell or share cookie-derived data with data brokers or advertising platforms
- We do not build advertising profiles from your browsing behaviour
4. Your Cookie Choices
4.1 Our Cookie Banner
When you first visit recvme.com, a cookie banner will appear. You have three options:
- Accept all cookies — essential and analytics cookies will be set
- Accept essential only — only strictly necessary cookies will be set; Google Analytics will not run
- Manage preferences — you can choose which categories to accept individually
Your choice is saved in a cookie called cookie_consent for 12 months. You can change your preference at any time using the controls below.
4.2 Manage Your Cookie Preferences
Use the toggles below to update your cookie preferences. Changes take effect immediately.
4.3 Browser Controls
You can control cookies directly through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- See which cookies are stored and delete them individually
- Block cookies from specific websites
- Block all third-party cookies
- Delete all cookies when you close the browser
Instructions for the most common browsers:
- Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies
Please note: blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging in and using core features of ReCVme. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the service.
4.4 Opting Out of Google Analytics Specifically
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits across all websites by installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Alternatively, declining analytics cookies using the toggles above will prevent Google Analytics from loading on ReCVme specifically.
5. Cookies and Your Location
One of the cookies we set — geo_country — stores your detected or manually selected country. We use this to show you the correct pricing currency (INR for India, GBP for the United Kingdom, USD for all other regions) and to apply region-appropriate legal disclosures.
This cookie stores only a two-letter country code (for example, IN, GB, or US). It does not store your precise location, city, or address. The country is detected from your IP address at the time of your first visit, or set to your selection if you use the region dropdown in the pricing section.
This cookie is considered essential because it is required to display the correct version of the service for your region. It is set regardless of your analytics cookie preference.
6. Data Processed via Cookies
Data collected through analytics cookies may include:
- Pages you visit on recvme.com
- Time spent on each page
- The website or search engine that referred you to our site
- Your approximate country (derived from IP address — not stored at city or street level)
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Whether you are a new or returning visitor
This data is aggregated and anonymised. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you as an individual or to link your analytics data to your ReCVme account.

7. Legal Basis for Analytics Cookies
For users in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area, analytics cookies are set only with your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003). You may withdraw consent at any time by updating your cookie preferences on this page.
For users in India, we obtain your agreement via the cookie consent banner in line with good practice under the IT Act 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
Essential cookies do not require consent as they are strictly necessary to deliver the service you have requested.
8. Cookies Set by Third Parties
ReCVme directly controls all essential cookies. The Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_<ID>, _gid, _gat) are set by Google LLC under our instruction when you consent to analytics. These are classified as first-party analytics cookies because they are set on the recvme.com domain, although the data is processed by Google.
Our payment providers — Razorpay and Stripe — may set cookies within their own payment iframes when you proceed to checkout. These cookies are essential to the payment process and are governed by Razorpay's and Stripe's own cookie and privacy policies. We do not control these cookies.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new features, change our analytics setup, or in response to changes in applicable law. When we update it, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page.
If we add new cookie categories (for example, if we introduce advertising cookies in the future), we will update this policy, reset your consent banner, and ask for your consent again before placing any new cookies.
10. Contact
